Cookies, Cookies & More Cookies!

Wow...it has been a while since I posted my last blog. Life sometimes get in a way of blogging!! And when I say life I mean, catching up on Lost episodes, watching Australian Opens and the Olympics!
Hopefully I can keep up baking and blogging along with other *life* things as well.

I baked a huge batch of chocolate chip cookies yesterday and divided them into two batches where I put walnuts into one batch and macadamia nuts into the other. These cookies are for a bake sale for FoodBank fundraising. I thought this would be such a great way to do good with that little baking talent I may have.

I have use the same recipe as the one I used for Christmas gifts since people seem to enjoy them. Click here for that yummy soft and chewy choc-chip cookies. And since Hawaii has plenty of macadamia nuts at a reasonable price, I decided that it would be great to have a bit of variety. I recommend you use any type of nuts that are available most in your area because you might end up saving a few bucks and they taste just as great.

The cookies then needed to be packaged properly, sealed tight, and labeled. I bought this small plastic bag sealer online last year and it worked great. But you'd have to use their company special plastic bags. They sell those online as well. The end products looked just like store bought!
